Can anyone tell me what species this is? It almost looks like some sort of hybrid. It seems to live just fine with my greenies.

Cant see details too well, but probably longear or dollar sunfish.

Agree with Gerald.  It's tough to be positive but it looks like a dollar.

Thanks both of you, I have a full grown male in that tank, hoping for a female so I get a pair. I've raised all of these fish from fry caught with a dipnet.

For what it's worth, I agree with Dustin. It looks more like a dollar than a longear to me.
