Totally awesome and informational site! Growing up as a kid in the mid-70s, EVERYTHING that didn't look like a bass or crappie was a bluegill. NOT anymore! Learn your panfish / sunfish species / variants/ hybrids and be rewarded by knowing what you catch for your tank, where you can find that specific species you seek, and how to accurately ID it.

 

Perhaps I needn't say it, but if you don't know what it is, take a picture and turn it loose.
