Being a gamefish, aren't those illegal to sell?

They are hatchery raised, so they are legal to sell. Of course the buyer has to make sure the fish is legal in their state and if so, maintain their receipt as proof of purchase.

Those are one fish that should not be sold in the aquarium trade, but of course people want monster fish (arapaima, red tail cat, TSN, pacu, etc).

I was just pointing it out, since certain people who have the right conditions, and want a fish like this, might find it useful. I went back to that site to check out the updated prices on the discus, and was thrilled to see they could get in gar also. Of course, they need a heads up beforehand. I would love to get one in, but the larger tank i'm buying (which is still cramped for a large tiger muskee) is being dedicated to other fish.
