He has some dubious history, like playing for Air Supply and John Denver. But then he also hung around with Chet Atkins, which hugely redeems him. Everyone's a critic, of course...

Well hey, Pete Huttlinger played w/JD, and he turned out OK FWIW, in the early '70's a LOT of people picked up a guitar for the first time in their lives because of John Denver. I was one of 'em!
But yeah, Chet was one of his major influences. There's a good dose of Michael Hedges thrown in as well.
