How come on some posts my signature is there and on some it's not there?

I notice it now on other members: the first time they post in a topic, the signature is there, and then if they post again the signature is gone (almost always).

Why?

I've made it that way because of the annoying signatures. I would rather only see them once if I have to see them at all.

Ha, I knew it! For future reference, it is not good to publish these things where Irate can read them! (My long fish list is unfortunately a victim of Irate's Tank O' Death)
