Can They All Just Get Along?

Im wanting opinions on how many of each I should get for a tank that is 60x18x24tall. Im not asking how many I can cram into my tank, just what kind of numbers would get along with numbers of the other species.
I intend to only have about 1:2 longears, maybe 2 or 3 madtoms, and the rest darters/dace/other minners.
Im just asking how you would do it.
My tank will have the flow of 2 powerheads and a 1000 gph undertank filter.
Thank you

I will be seining in Kansas this weekend to collect fish for my 120 gal aquarium. Species I am pretty sure I will collect are redbelly dace, longear sunfish, slender madtom, orangethroat darter.

I dont think you need to quote my entire post for that answer.
Whats the lifespan of a minnow vs. a longear (assuming they were kept separately)
I have kept longears and minners together before without losing any except for very small ones (like gambusia)
I imagine I will be collecting young longears and I would like to get at least a year out of my minners.

Well being a global Mod on the forum it is slightly embarrassing that I quoted that all. Thank you for bringing that up.I dont think you need to quote my entire post for that answer.
If your intent was to embarrass me, then I feel for you.
Your fish will do fine for a year or so, until the longear get to the size that they will become predatory.

I think he was just making an observation, like Drew saying he is annoyed by sigs with animations, large colorful letters, and long fish lists. (Hey, I got two out of three before he disabled animated sig's)
If course, if you're like me, then you're immune from things like embarrasment or remorse!

No, I know that you are a mod and was only reminding you because I visit a lot of different forums and all the non-relevant quoting gets bothersome not only for me but for others as well. This isnt the first time Ive said anything.
Here's an example of me embarrassing a poster for over-quoting:
Its the 11th post down on this page.

I still get pms from people congratulating me for that one. Just because some people are too polite to say anything doesnt mean they dont notice.
Heres my text from that post:
Real Men of Genius. Today we salute you, Mr. Giant quote nested quote quoter. Avoiding the simple task of deleting text you are not actually quoting, you, like so many other noobs on forums just click the quote button and we get to scroll down for 10 minutes expecting to find some insightful response only to be disappointed by a one liner pointing out the obvious.
Yep I called him a noob, because sometimes the having a higher post count doesnt mean youre a professional.

For some reason, though, your animated turtle looks better here
Normally I dont use the turtle there because of the dark background. Also they dont allow you to host your own avatar, they must be uploaded and the file size of my turtle here is larger than they allow, so that turtle is missing a few frames and may be slightly smaller. I just put the turtle back on there for the benefit of this topic.
Im just amazed that the guy never went back and edited his post to remove all the nested quotes.

The longears will eat the minnows.
And the darters as well.
I think perhaps you might wat to consider a different centrarchid or try to get the smallest you can find but even still I believe if it thinks it can fit it in it's mouth it will try. I'm not sure how large the madtoms will be but I would not be suprised if the same was true for them. I would make sure any minnows and darters you keep are larger idividuals of the species.

The slender madtoms Ive seen were all too big to fit in the longears Ive seen, but Ive had bluegill bite fish in half, so then they might fit.

Of course, the choice of fish food makes little difference in Irate's Tank O' Death.
