Is natureserve updated often? While looking at the watershed I'm in(Flint) and the fishes in it, I did not see yellowfins anywhere on the list.

Based on the map in the back of the Peterson's... it looks like yellowfins are not in the western part of the state... I looked at Natureserv myself and if you are trying to look at the upper flint (I thought I remember you saying you were close to Atlanta), I looked and you are right they are not listed... but the next drainage over is the Ocmulgee and they are in there... so are you sure which drainage you should be looking at? Sometimes it is hard to tell just from a small map...

This stream is in Fayette County, and all of Fayette county is in the Upper Flint, as far as I can tell.

I also noticed that the spotted bass, which I have caught in my backyard, isn't on the Ocmulgee or Flint River drainages, so I think either nature serve isn't updated, or my fish are incorrectly identified.

Ok. I've re-identified my bass as largemouth. Still lost about the yellowfin shiners though.
