There is a newly updated native fish exhibit at the Texas Memorial Museum on the UT Austin campus. I have not been yet, but plan to go during the holiday break if they are open.

Quote from their website:
"The exhibit is a preliminary part of a multiyear research project that will finally consolidate all of the known scientific information on the freshwater fishes of Texas. The Fishes of Texas Project is a collaboration of the Texas Natural Science Center at The University of Texas at Austin, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and The University of Texas-Pan American."

Also, this site has two interesting videos. Check those out.

Wished we had a place like that here near, or in Chattanooga somewhere. The Tennessee Aquarium is alright but basicaly a bunch of big tanks with big fish for people to oooh and awwww at. They have some learning curiculam but not much. Nice place to visit and I was a charter member but got tired of seeing the same stuff over and over.

Anyway that Texas exibit seems very interesting thanks for sharing.

Daniel
