Just in case you haven't seen it (found on Digg) - here is a link to a pair of fish tanks joined by what appears to be a clear acrylic pipe-bridge. Quite a bit of discussion on the page regarding how it works. Looks neat, probably a pain to clean.

Dang! Quite a bit of acrilic work went into that set-up! Doesn't look like the fish would feel very comfortable in that barren pipe though!

That's wild. Here's another interesting setup I ran across yesterday that uses the same principles. Apparently the owner uses floating food to entice the fish to swim up into the upper tank.
