I used the infrared setting on my video camera to record my tadpole madtom at night. This setting does not record in color - it is sort of grainy and dark, but thought someone here might be interested. I enjoyed watching the madtom feeding at night. Very determined little fellow.

The video gets a little more interesting as it progresses - I learned to move closer to the tank and use the zoom. So hang in there with it if you have a few minutes to spare.

Can't get it to play on my PC using Firefox or IE. And I really wanted to see it! Can you put it on youtube?

Darn it. I tested this on my PC using IE7 in Vista before I sent it out. Also works in Firefox on my Mac. I can always email you the video if all else fails.

By the way, it does require the Apple Quicktime plugin to view it. It is a free download from Apple.

Fantastic footage! Now I know why the rocks never "silt in" with sand :)

Can madtom catfish be kept with other Sunfish? Are madtoms aggressive?
