Hey guys! Quick question. Do you think my eheim professional 2 filter in a 75 gallon tank would offer enough filtration If I were to keep a fully grown LMB and bullhead?

A fully grown LMB would not fit in a 75G. You need something larger than that a 75g and with that a larger filter.

There is a ton more question to be asked and probably a few tips given, IMO it is probably not sufficient. How big are the fish? I mean a brown bull can easily get over two pounds and a largie can get HUGE compared to that. When I tried that combo the largie was 5" and the bull was 6-7". Both about the same girth weight and the largie tormented the cat till no end. It would actually pull the cat by the tail from under its hiding spot. Eventually I had to separate them. I personally like to try the tuff combo's but largie's tend to ruin the group. Best luck I have had is with keeping the tank very well fed. Always have some sacrificial fish in there to draw the bass's aggression. Anyhow, this is just my opinion, sure its not right thing to do, but its fun to watch! Good Luck!

p.s. I attached a picture of that setup. You can see the bull head hiding under log.

I have the following in a 75 gal

warmouth
shadowbass
spotted bullhead (it may be one of those marbled looking browns though)

the shadow bass and warmouth were with in about 1/4" of each other in size (less than an inch) about a year ago

the warmouth is about 6" now the shadow bas about 3", the warmouth will chase the shadow bass if it get in its "space" but the warmouth completely ignores the bullhead.

the warmouth is to the size now that it could easily eat the bullhead if it wishes, i have never seen it take any interest in it what so ever.

a warmouth, rock bass, or shadow bass would probably make a better companion for your bulhead

HMT, those would most likely be smaller than the LMB right? but with just as much aggression towards rosy reds?

Oh of course. I think you underestimate sunfish. Basically if you want a lmb shaped fish you have a few options:
Green sunfish (I love these guys)
Rockbass (very cool)
shadowbass (will end up buying one once I move out)
warmouth(typically known for peaceful to other large fish, slightly territorial.)

Since it's a 75 you could probably have 3-4 of these fish plus the bullhead. But someone with a little better idea of tank stocking should give you an oppinion with stock amounts in that tank.

The problem with a LMB wouldn't be the filtration, it would be the maximum length it could reach in a that size aquarium, just not enough room for it.
To add to Zepheads post, green sunfish are very aggressive, rockbass are a little less, and warmouth are the most docile of the three. That is a general rule of course, individuals may vary. :smile2:
Their behavior mimics the largemouth in most ways in that they are all aggressive feeders and will eat any smaller fish that can fit in their mouths.
A 75 gallon aquarium would comfortably fit all three types as well as a bullhead as long as you create enough hiding spots for the more passive fish to run to if the bullies start picking on them.

Well thanks alot guys, I think that sounds pretty good. Im going to try and have the bullhead, a rockbass, and maybe something else interesting in my tank. Can bullheads eat crayfish, shell and everything?

Can and will! Even if it's too big to fit in the bullhead's mouth, he may pull its legs off.
