I got these minnows at the LFS's feeder shrimp tank.
The first one, I think is a fathead minnow
(sorry, my camera's autofocus didn't want to cooperate with me today so I had to snap these pics with my camcorder)
The next one, I think is a dace of some sort.... maybe? The dorsal fin is a different shape than the fathead so I don't think this is the same species. The head shape is also different.

I agreed with Skipjack, they are just wild-type red rosy minnows. In fact, the red rosy minnow are just a coloration strain of fathead minnows. if you crossing your red rosy minnows to the fatheads, you got the "koi" rosies. Its red rosy with black blotches. It is very attractive for the ponds.
