Anyone aware of educational videos on any of the african great lakes? Of particular interest are those dealing with cichlid evolution and trophic specialization. Would be used as part of a case study in an Aquatic Biology course.

Thanks very much! From the description it is a little heavy into the human aspect will do just as well. I am still looking for something stressing the evolution / radiation of the cichlids.

Here's a great vid about Lake Tanganyika. I have seen it once. About once a year National Geographic Channel will air it. Expensive to get if you want to own it, though.

That is the one I was going to suggest. "Jewels of the Rift" really helped enhance my interest in fish when I was younger.

Boy has the price of THAT video gone up. When it first came out I bought a copy for $20.00(if my memory serves me correctly). I know it wasn't that much. The way it is going, if I wait a few more years I should be able to sell my copy and retire. Not holding my breath tho.
