I've got a very nicely spotted brown bullhead, but had never heard of "spotted bullhead" until reading your post and searching on it. Nice looking little fish!Does anyone keep or have access to spotted bullheads?
I was pretty blown away by the coloration of the brown bullheads I caught at the 2006 convention in Missouri. Up here in the Northeast, ours are just drab gray/brown -- nothing like the bold black, silver, and gray spots they can have in other places. Unfortunately my more strongly-patterned one died a while ago, but the one I still have is still very pretty.

I recently gave one away that I had for not quite a year. He was a find in a ghost shrimp tank and went from 1 1/2'' to easily 10'' in about 8-9 months. He was really cool and I would've loved to keep him but he had started making other prized specimens disappear.
