madtom in northeast cape fear river

i have caught two madtoms in a creek behind my house on the northeast cape fear i have a tank with native fish nall caught in the n.e.river i have two other fish i have never seen before they are really pretty little guys and have done well for a year now i am new to this site and would love some help with the ID of these fish i have grown up on this river and have never seen them before nor has any of my friends . back to the mad tom he must pack a whollop he has killed a 10 inch channel cay and two warmouth perch that were about 4 inches all decided they were going to make a meal of him and that did not work out to good thanks for any help anyone could give

Sounds like Noturus diabolis, Devil's Hole madtom. Those things are just wicked. Evil, even!

Too cute! If it as evil as he says it is, I vote for a young flathead catfish - the fish vacuum sweeper.

The only 'toms in the NECFR are tadpole and margined with a very slight possibility of the broadtail.
