Yesterday I went out looking for new species of crayfish. Wasn't successful there, but in the process I found a new fish for me: Fat Sleeper. Found four total at two different locations. Both locations were near the coast (5 and 12 miles) but in fresh water. See the pictures here:

My experience so far: they are omnivorous and peaceful. I am enjoying mine quite a lot.

They're pretty peaceful. I have a breeding pair that feed on just about anything I throw in the tank. Pretty obvious color differences between the sexes. My male is usually blue and the female is usually orange. Their colors shift slightly from time to time.

They were each at the 1 foot mark when I last measured them about 6-7 months ago.

Oddball, that is a truly nice looking fish! I didn't know they were so colorful!
