My son and I decided to go out to the local streams and see what we could find. We have had quite a bit of rain and so most of our "regular" sites were to deep or moving to fast. We did find a couple of new spots to try this weekend after the water level drops. We finally went ot an old spot that use to yield some nice SRBD and Redfin Shiners. The area has been built up around and those fish are gone. Thought we would see what we could find tho. I just need a wading fix, actually. Below is a list of what we found even tho the water here in Indiana is quite cool now. Most of these were YOY(young of the year). Not bad for cold, high water and only a small area sampled.

1. Central Stoneroller
2. Bluntnose minnow
3. Silverjaw
4. Mottled Sculpin
5. Creek Chub
6. Greenside Darter
7. Orangethroat darter
8. Johnny Darter

Interesting group of fishes Bill. You'll have to show me some local Sculpin populations some day. I have to travel far in Illinois to find them.

Nice collection of fish. I wish my local streams contained half those species.
