I have a 6 inch yellow perch in my 55 gallon(Thats the biggest tank I can keep). I had him in my pond for about 2 mon ths and moved him here about a week ago. Would he be happier with another perch? O there is a 7inch pickerel in hter too but he is going into pond REALLY SOON! Just curious also if there are any plants they like my tank is kind of empty

I always see perch schooling with each other when they're small, but not so much when they get bigger. You could try putting a couple sunfish in there. I have found vallisnera looks very good, and the fish love it

I'm sure it would be much happier with another perch than a pickerel. Maybe something it doesn't recognize as a predator or just more perch. Any structure will surely be beneficial, plants or wood.
