Well, I stopped in a local petstore to buy some food and like usual I browse the topical fish. I don't keep anymore tropicals, but I like to look at them anyways. Anyways, I found this darter in one of the tanks with Ghost shrimp in it. Based on others' experiences, I'm putting my money on this being a swamp darter.

The pics are kinda blurry, they were taken through a plastic holding tank.

Good catch Josh! Native fishing at the LFS!

Well the pics are a little bit difficult, but the darter ones would indicate swamp darter to me... I have got several in the same way and they do really well in tanks... a little secretive, but not once there is food to be had...

Yes i agree great find and no wet feet, or mosquito bites at all. I cant remember who it was but not too long ago in this forum someone referenced an actual LFS wholesale supplier with natives listed, and after a little research i found Pet Food Center in my town, as one of their dealers, I havent tried yet but just to have somthing to say, you might back track that thread and find your LFS could order somthing you want.
