Can rainbow darters (and mudminnows?) live in a slightly salty environment? I'm growing up some bumblebee gobies to liven up the tank.

edit mostly worried about the corydoras.

I salt most of my tanks at the rate of 1 tbsp salt per 5 gallons of water. All my natives and corydoras seem fine with that. I've had corydoras spawn. I also have some bumblebee gobies that I keep in a more brackish tank.

Yeah, I do 1 tbsp. per 10 gallons, my darters and green sunfish seem fine with that so far. More than that seems to make native plants "melt", so I'd keep that as the max. It also is a really good level for parasite control, interestingly. About 2 months ago, when I was trying to breed my gouramis, I grabbed some plants out of a nearby retention pond. Unbeknown to me, I had a few leech hitchhikers. They lasted about 30 seconds in the salty water. Kinda neat, unless you WANT to keep those kind of things alive.......
