I had a similar setup a few years back for some swamp darters and other hitchhikers that came in with ghost shrimp shipments. It was full of mud, sticks, leaves, and any kind of invertebrate I could get to live in there. Mine didn't look as presentable as that, but I will say it was one of my favorite tanks. Often I found myself ignoring the fish and spending more time watching the water mites, copepods, and various other wild aquatic critters swimming/crawling around. I'm not a "sizist," I appreciate the small things as much as the large. It's amazing how much life you can pack in a small space...
