I'm trying to find out the legalities of buying/selling native fish. I notice the buy/sell area is only for fish ITEMS and the area for fish is a trade only area. I am looking into collecting and am very new to this. Any help is appreciated.

Selling native fish, collected from the wild and/or captively raised, requires permits, licenses, etc. My understanding is that trading fish or paying for shipping only to recieve a fish, and not a cent more, is different because a profit is not incurred. That does not mean an individual state may not have their own regulations regarding certain the importation/exportation of certain species and fauna and should be investigated. That is one reason we encourage forum users to note their location in their public profile. We have multiple sellers that are permitted in the vendor area who will gladly sell you fish.
