After a while fishing with no luck using worms alone I put a worm on a spinner leader and caught my very first walleye.

I actually thought the opposite. The one in mass was a lot more colorful. And the teal was very deep.A quick comparison. Notice how much paler your redbreast from mass is compared to the ones we caught in new hampshire.

I wonder if they are very variable in coloration, or if one is just more stressed and faded due to being caught.
