river was up and muddy so we walked the pools off of the main stream to hunt and pick up a few fish from the oxbows.

Catostomidae Suckers ---of some kind were in the pools by the 100's

Northern Hog Sucker ---Hypentelium nigricans we found one in with the other suckers.

Central Stoneroller Campostoma anomalum ---were about 1"-1.25" long to many to count.

Lepomis ---of some kind just one.

and the tadpoles were every were some had legs and a frog face but still had a small tail.
we found lots of dead mussels the smaller ones maybe asian mussels and they have took over this section of the river in the last decade or so.
we also found more topminnows Fundulus catenatus one section had so many there was no way to count them they were smaller then the ones we usually find up stream around 1.5"-3" the recent rains has moved them down stream 2 miles or so.there was just to many folks canoeing to do any serious fishing.but it was better then a day @ work!
