I've always been interested in these goby like natives. For years I've wondered of their existence locally. Well, today I spotted a few in the river that comes from the lake in my local park. I was netless today. But, I recently bought a 8"x8" aquarium net with a 24" handle. I'm going to give it a try. Oh yeah, the darters looked to be lite grey with dark verticle stripes.
thanks
I spotted some Darters

They're either tessellated or swamp darters. Both are easy to catch, position the net downstream of a hiding site like a rock, kick or roll the rock, and hopefully the darter runs into the net and you can scoop it up.
