all fish found were small only .75" to 1" long.
well i think there rainbow darters all have 4 to five horizontal tan bars on the back half of the body and blue tipped fins on the top, then a clear gap and a red band under the the blue.
all i had was my dip net and most fish in the small riffle would swim right out of the net holes.i was glad to find so many.i changed stops many times in the area but my goal to find SRBD is still ongoing.

Are you sure that you don't have orangethroat darters instead of rainbow darter? If you were looking for SRBD and in the headwaters I think you'd have just a good a chance if not slightly better finding orangethroat.
