My yellow bullhead hasn't ate hardly anything since I took out my three big goldgfish and Israeli carp. Any ideas?

More Information would be helpful. Tank Size? Water Quality? How Often Do You Change The Water? What Size is the Bullhead? Were any other changes made to the tank at the same time you removed these fish? Sorry to ask so many questions but there are just too many variables this time.

You can't really be sure he is not eating, unless you are watching him 24/7... bullheads are nocturnal hunters... he may still be eating, just at night... I had two that would never come out when the aquarium lights were on, but did a great job of reducing the number of minnows in the tank whenever the lights were off.

He may have been more willing to come out with other fish around... or may have had to, to get anything to eat with the other fish eating in the daytime (which your carp were likely doing).

The water quality hasn't been good, that's why I took the carp out. After I took the carp out I did a 1/3 water change. I usually change the water once every week. Besides that the tank was starting to become crowded; The tank is 30 gallons. The bullhead is about 7 or 8 inches long, and the carp were starting to get bigger.

I'm pretty sure he isn't eating hardly anything. He was taking pond pellets pretty good, now he won't touch them. Before it was like a feeding frenzy with him, he would take them out of my hand. He has shown an intrest in small minnows, but he's only ate a few of them(they're not in the tank anymore). I'm going to buy some nightcrawlers in a minute, and try those.

I'm pretty sleepy so this might not make much sense.

Have you tested the water? Bullheads are extremely tough fish but It is possible that the water quality is that poor. Try doing a 25% change daily for a week if you have the time and see if you see a difference.
Nightcrawlers, Baitshop Minnows, Frozen Beef Heart, Frozen Silversides, Krill, etc. you should definetly be able to tempt this Bullhead with something out of that. Let us know if he starts eating again.

He's now taking live minnows. When I made this post I didn't realize that he had ate a minnow that day. I noticed it when I put in more minnows.
