About a month and a half ago, I scooped up some Gambusia in a cup. These guys were small. Three about 3/8" and one almost fry size. I thought I had all females, until last week when the male showed his maturity with his now large anal-fin.
This is a bad pic, but the best one I took of them. So far.

Are you keeping them with any other fish? I've recently found them in a nearby lake and have been considering keeping some.

No, at this point they are my their lonesome.

They're actually quite aggressive, especially the males. They'll shred fins and bring on all sorts of secondary infections.

Do you think they would bother bottom dwellers, like Darters? In a 29gal.

No, they will coexist with darters just fine.

They are moderately aggressive feeders, though less so than some minnows. You'll have to pay attention that the darters are getting enough to eat.
