Hi All,
I saw Oddball's thread on good referrence books, and I've got a few books on hold at the library, but in the meantime, I was wondering, if anyone is familiar with Anderson Island in the Puget Sound. I asked around and a nice gent told me the fish were minnows. Turned out, he calls all fish minnows, so I was none the better off. I know it's stocked with trout and bass, but I saw numerous fish with all the same body type and size, yet widely different colorations. They didn't seem to be "schooling". Didn't know if there was anyone out there familiar with the island to know if there were native, non-stocked fish there. Sorry, no pictures.
Thanks!
Anderson Island Lake Josephine

It sounds like juvenile trout of different stages. But ya never know.

That's pretty near home for me! I've been to that lake, but don't really know what fish are in it I'm afraid. There are native sticklebacks at least, and almost certainly sculpins, but those are fairly recognizable and I doubt you'd be asking if those were what you had seen.
