I live in south Louisiana and collect quite a bit. I am always ready to go and I have good spots in LA and MS for many species. If anybody is up for a little (or a big) collecting trip down south let me know.

I'm in Mobile Alabama often. Whats a good half way point and what will I need for permits at the half way point?

I know some good spots near Hattiesburg MS, about 2 hours from mobile. I think all you need is a mississippi fishing licence. I think my Mississippi collection permit has lapsed, but if need be I can dig one up.

or we could hit some coastal rivers in Mississippi and find some Luciana. I processed a sample from the Pascagoula river that had over 9,000 from one seine haul.

Hey dred, can you maybe point me to a good Lucania spot? I don't hit the coastal rivers very often.

Its been a long time since I have collected down there, but I would try the lower pascagoula river.

I'm headed to S. MS (around Columbia) this Sunday - if anybody is interested in meeting up then speak now! I usually go solo because nobody is interested.
