i dont know the areas of virginia that is good to go or w. virginia. or where the ohio boys on this forum are from.
deleware, new jersey, new york, maryland, eastern ohio, northern and eastern West Virginia, centrel, northern, eastern virginia,
those are all doable given someone else that could meet up and we split gas and what not. that could be doable. i dont know if there are any diehards like me out here...this is prob the only weekend my wifey would let me get away with this. i hope some of you fellows are available.

Well there are literally like 4 things in that drainage. And all those plus 70 more u can get in NY or anywhere else. I mean u live there. U can try out that area everyday. I wouldn't pass up a trip where there are 15 species of darters for some redbelly dace or longnose. That's just crazy lol
I didn't say i'd pass up the trip, i'd love to go.
I just want help sampling local waters some time. Their is more to sampling than a pokemon "gotta catch them all" mentality, I really want to know what is in my local waters and where and why.
I mean what are those minnows that are too fast and warry for me to get with a dip net? What were those two small fish with the strongly forked tail i saw in the connecticut river swimming downstream along the shore by the vernon dam? How can different minnows live together and not outcompete each other? All this I am curious about. I also want to be collecting, but I want more than to just collect.
As I said I didn't pass on the trip, I just really would prefer help sampling the local waters some time.
If I can make it to the trip I will go.

there is nothing wrong with wanting to sample NH waters...or mass waters for that matter...but the reality is those shiners were prob commons, goldens, or fallfish. the only people who care about helping us siene are gonna be people who want to do our brackish and salt. im gonna post a list of the fish we will catch donw in VA. for starters drool over this pic

now do you still want your northern redbellies? lol
