The water was too high for sampling, so I got a fish anyways. I went fishing at wilson pond, it was flooded but i waded into the former shoreline caught 2 bluegills (one big), a small largemouth, and a rock bass. I put the rock bass in my tank and it seems amazingly calm and placid, then again it is new to the tank and recovering from a hook injury, i hope it remains this way (if not it will join the dollar in the agression tank where both would be miserable).
The annoying thing is a new sunfish in the tank has my minnows nervous, schooled up, and hesitant to eat. They remember my dollar all too well.
the amazing thing i saw was when i went to throw out a worm and leave, a big sunfish drifted out from between the two big rocks right in front of my feet and hesitantly took it. I had a big sunfish in front of my feet while fishing and didn't notice it.
got a rock bass today

I caught one of those today as well. I wish I had a sunfish tank, I would so get for my tank. I also caught a Longear Thursday evening....man, they are gorgeous. I don't know what that hand size Longear was thinking when he tried to eat a 3 1/2 crankbait....
