Thanks for sharing the pics, thats a beauty. :0) these pics are as close as i ever get to the real thing, i have tried and tried with no success to catch these jewels. Great colors also

Look into making a trip to the northeast corner of Indiana. The Iowa Darter is common in the natural lakes there.

I have personally caught several in Clear lake, they were spawning in about 60 degree water and were very easy to catch with a butterfly net.
