Martin, how much time do you have on your hands?

You guys must have missed the numerous ads for my patented Sparkle Shrimp ™. They clean the aquarium so well it sparkles. Sparkle Shrimp ™ are the result of 16 years of research, selective breeding, and the latest techniques in molecular biology. Here are just a few of the benefits of using my patented Sparkle Shrimp ™:

-They consume all types of algae including hair algae and the dreaded blue-green algae (cyanobacteria).
-They consume fish offal.
-Their genetically enhanced metabolism converts all forms of nitrogenous waste (yes, ammonia, nitrites, AND nitrates) into nitrogen gas which dissipates harmlessly into the atmosphere.
-They are possessed of a foul taste which discourages predation (97.1% of fishes which consume just ONE Sparkle Shrimp ™ will assiduously avoid repeating that mistake).
-Just TWO Sparkle Shrimp will keep a 38 liter aquarium completely free of undesirable algae, and will consume enough nitrate to COMPLETELY ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR WATER CHANGES!
-Sparkle Shrimp will not harm your expensive vascular plants
-They GLOW IN THE DARK!
-And they're only a DOLLAR!!

See my website at www.sparkleshrimp.com. Be patient, due to heave traffic my website has experienced frequent outages.

I am not making much if any money off of these shrimp considering the substantial investment in time and money I have made. Remember, I am asking only a DOLLAR per shrimp! This is purely a public service - I am merely attempting to return to the aquarium hobby some of what it has given me...

Really? Mine won't eat fish.

when I was a kid I had a tank with 3 goldfish, an angelfish, a cory cat and a whole mess of neon tetras. slowly, one by one, all the fish vanished except the big goldfish who kept getting bigger.

My current minnow tank has one goldfish in it who loves eating feeder guppies (but not as much as my rock bass does, but the goldfish is always the first to start eating them).

I found my order of sparkle shrimp a bit unsatisfactory. I thought a giant glowing bowl of sparkle scampi would be the best centerpiece meal my party would ever have. but I forgot they tasted bad to predators and everyone who ate them felt ill after.

I did forget to mention that they not only devour black brush algae, but they also do equally well in freshwater and saltwater. They will selectively not eat your precious saltwater macroalgae.

I also forgot to mention the one caveat - a trait which I have not been able to breed or engineer out of them. Once they get a taste for fish slime, they are HOOKED. They won't kill your fishes, you understand, but they are constantly grazing. This is irritating to slow moving fishes.
