I finaly after a long battle decided to see what would happen if I tried to gibve my pumpkinseed some tropical fish flakes, sure enough he happily gobbled them up. This was after many tries of trying to get him to eat pellets. Before he lived on a diet off worms and the occasional crayfish. This mnakes my life much easier. YAY! Just thought I would share that with you.I tried every trick in the book with the pelletrs but he instantly ate thje flakes. Must be picky.

Ive never tried flakes , My natives werent too hard to convert to pellets, but dont let them fool you, i had fed pellets, for some time with the occasional treat food, but they soon conned me into giving them more and more treats, to the point that they started to refuse pellets again. so dont let them little suckers fool you, they know what they prefer, and will trick you if you let them.....or could it be that i enjoy seeing them, eat so much, ive done this to myself, LOL

flakes are messy and probably not doing much for your sunfish depending on the size of them. i'd keep trying with pellets.
