I need to put a lid on it. . . . .
Right now I have glass covering the section where the pumps' flows enter the tank, where most of the dace jump.
I want the whole tank covered.
What's better? I can build a framed screen cover, or I can get glass cut.
Evaporation doesn't seem to be a major problem right now.
Got the lobster tank chiller dialed in for winter - a steady 45 deg., with a slight rise in the afternoons to @ 48deg.!
The smaller darters seem to have taken up winter refuge in the rocks. I only see a few (out of 20 or so) at a time.
I settled on two clip on shop lights for lighting, the 4 ft fluorescents just seemed way too bright for a realistic creek-like setting.
Tank lid - screen or glass?
