I've been running around between Mississippi and Louisiana over past few weeks. I had to make a few stops between destinations. The water was very high in rivers I wanted to sample, so I hit a lot of small creeks where conditions were better. I found some nice new sites ,broke two dipnets, and almost netted a dead dog. Overall, it was a blast.

How far are some of your sampling locations from the Oxford and Tupelo area. There is a good possibility I will be moving to that area in several months and I've yet to collect in MS, or really outside of the Tennessee and Cumberland drainage in the past two years.

Most of the places I go are south of I-20 (about 2 - 2.5 hours south of Oxford), but I have been wanting to sample around north Mississippi.

You certainly get a lot of Redfin Darter, are there any darters in the Great Lakes Drainage that you'd be interested in trading for them? I have Greenside, Johnny, and Blackside Darter down the street. Other stuff I could easily find would be; Logperch, Rainbow Darter, Orangethroat Darter, and Fantail Darters...

Was that the one I told you about? Sure sounds like it, except no Fundulus!

I can hook you up. like Dred, most of my collecting is below I-20, but I used to kick around Yazoo City a good bit.

I looked for the one you told me about, but did not find it. It's one of ones I showed you on the map, on the other side of that town.

What species did you get in the yazoo city area? I may have to make a trip that way next time I am home.

If you hit it right you can get lots of shortnose gar. Campostoma, red shiners, the usual darter suspects, and I forget what else - it's been a few years. Yazoo shiners, anyone?
