I now have a NANFA gallery so I added some pics of my tanks their.

i have three tanks. A 55 gallon big fish tank. A 20 long killie tank. and a 20 long "small fish tank" (formerly my darter tank but I have only 3 darters left in it).

First a pic of my big 55

A couple pics of my rock bass

a pumpkinseed (also a few feeder goldfish, a long nose dace, and a couple others)

you can BARELY make out a yellow perch in this pic. The flash from taking this pic sent all of the minnows panicing.

my perpetually agressive and pugnacious dollar sunfish

A picture of a few of the minnows in my big fish tank. My big fish tank has a variety of minnows in it including fallfish, common shiner, golden shiner, warpaint shiner, and long nose dace.

From here I move onto my darter/small fish tank

A tenesee snubnose darter from viginia, also in the image are some minnows and a tesselate. (I didn't even see the tessie when taking the pic)

A sculpin from virginia

A minnow and a feeder guppy

here's my killie tank with banded killies in it

A close up of the killie tank, no fish in this image, by this time they were fleeing the camera.

Thanks for replying, I appreciate it.

Does my 55 seem a bit overcrowded to you? I want to upgrade to a 120 some day.

being home from work sick today I decided to take a few pics of my tanks. At first I tried to uploaded them to Flickr as I had so many I didn't want to waste my NANFA gallery on trivial pics. but I couldn't figure out how to link pics on flickr so I ended up posting them in my gallery anyways. I'll start it out with some images from my big tank.

Here is my big 55 gallon tank as seen from afar.

Posted Image

my big bluegill, the new boss of my tank

Posted Image

and my pumpkinseed, he developed suprisingly red fins

Posted Image

My two larger sunnies, I didn't notice the pumpkinseeds awkward body position in this photo when i snapped this pic.

Posted Image

a bullhead, a fat sleeper, and my little dollar sunfish. Ever since i got my bluegill my dollar has cowered in this little area beneath the root decoration. The tiny tyrant has been dethroned.

Posted Image

the shiners of my big fish tank: commons, longnose dace, and my fallfish. I made the disturbing revelation when taking these pics and inventorying individual species that my golden shiners and warpaint shiners are GONE! (I was aware that their were less shiners than I remembered but never focused on species). I also was unable to take a good pic of my fallfish. As soon as I lift the camera he either runs off or hides.

A shot from my minnow and darter tank. It's not good enough for me to say who is in the pic, but it does show why they are called shiner.

Posted Image

More shiners in my minnow tank, and a couple guppies too. Note the blacknose dace.

Posted Image

A sculpin and a few more shiners. This tank has shiners from all over. blacknose dace from NH, bluntnose, redline, and maybe a chub or two from new york, saffrons from virginia, and maybe more. I wish I kept closer track of the species in this tank.

Posted Image

One of my tesselate darters and a pinkish shiner, possibly a saffron or a rosyside (I am starting to regret not paying more attention to this tanks shiner species).

Posted Image

My banded tank, with banded killies

Posted Image

Banded sunnies and banded killies

more banded sunnies
