does anyone have any experience with diy frozen foods

I have several large sunfish and a catfish that i feed floating pellets as a staple.
I do feed HBH super soft sinking pellets once a week or so.

I had thought of freeing earth worms (bait store), and gut loaded crickets (purchase at bait store, then feed for a week or more).
I am entertaining the thought of stunning the worms and crickets in the freezer then freezing them in ice cube squares.

has anyone any experience with this?

also am i doing the fish any favors by feeding them bait worms and crickets? not as a staple, one or two of each per week or so.

the same thing can be done with FW or SW seed shrimp, small craw fish, Gambusia

thanks
