$3500 is actually pretty cheap for one of these "Gold" Florida gars. Last few I saw went for over $5000.
Personally I'm not sure what the attraction is to them, A good regular Lepisosteus platyrhincus looks fine to me. However to each their own.

I should have put up the link in case if anyone was interested in seeing the Gold Spoted Gar (Lepisosteus oculatus).

Except for it is not a Spotted... It is a Platyrhincus. John, the seller of this fish knows this, not sure why he labeled it Oculatus..

Thanks for the clarification, that is what it was labeled as, & I was unable to tell from the photos so I took his word for it.
