i live in ohio and would like to start a black soldier fly hermetia illucens culture
are there any of our member raising them?

They can usually be found at pet stores under the name "Phoenix Worms" or "Calci-worms." I'm not sure about your area, but my local Petco carries Calci-worms, and "Hermetia illucens" is printed right on the container.

Also, if you can't find some locally, you can always try the Phoenix Worm site. If I remember right it's about $50 for 500 with ~$5 shipping.
