Looking for new creeks or small rivers in and around the Charlotte area, out to about 100 miles. I have exhausted most of the creeks I know in my area so hoping someone out there has some good spots. I catch and release only.

Looking for spots with multiple fish species, Shiners, Daces, Darters, Madtoms, Suckers, etc.

Thanks for any help and also, I have some great secret fishing spots to trade info on as well.

Use FISHMAP and then use Google maps and Street-View to find access.

Just like angling, people in the native fish world are often a bit tight lipped about their sites. The more they get to know you, the more open they get. The fact that you joined NANFA gives you a leg up, and shows your willingness to commit to the mission, education and hobby that are all part of NANFA. I would hope that you start getting some private messages from some members near you. If not some may have missed the thread, so don't be afraid to jump in the water and send some PM's out to the locals yourself. People prefer to offer sites in a private capacity, especially if there are any sensitive species involved. Best of luck.

That's a good start. That's how I find the majority of my locations.  Are you checking locations within same drainage or branching out?  Also, there can be a big difference between a river's main steam species and the headwater creek species.  The more drainage's you cross, the more species you'll find.
