They start off looking like potential rainbows, but quickly turn into looking like banded.

Location and name of the watershed you caught them would be a big help.

Just looking at them and not knowing where you found them, I would say they’re banded darters.

The brightly colored ones Look like rainbows to me. Banded have snub nose. Could be the other darter is another species hard to tell.

Retraction: Greenside darters have snub nose; banded have a typical darter nose.
