Well I never would have thought I would have found a banded topminnow! They aren't really common and I didn't find any locations listed on our DNR's website close to us, but today when looking for madtoms I decided to see how many blackstriped topminnows I could catch in one scoop. Well that ended up being 22, but there were 28 fish! The 22 blackstripes, 5 sticklebacks and a lone blueish colored barred fish. I ID'd it right away as Mr. Bumpylemon's pictures are soo beautiful, that i knew what I had found! It sucks I didn't take a picture because my camera was charging.. (and whodathunk) I would find something so beautiful!!!

That's excellent! Sucs that you didn't have your camera, they are very beautiful fish.

I'm guessing the Fundulus notatus are replacing the Fundulus diaphanis menona in Wisconsin waters like they are here in Ohio.
