Hi all,

I'm new to the forum. I'm trying to find out about spawning Fundulus grandis. Does anyone have any experience this this species? What conditions (sex ratio, salinity, temperature, tank size, breeding medium, etc.) have you been successful with in spawning these fish?

Thanks so much for your help and recommendations!

I can't help you directly, but hopefully can lead you in the right direction. At the AFS meeting in Lafayette, LA this year, there were tons of talks on F. grandis (cocahoe minnows). LSU is working doing research on farming them. Here's a link to a page with some .pdfs on raising and spawning large numbers of them. Maybe you can figure out what to do at whatever scale you choose.

I didn't even see that you were in BR. Anyway, LSU has a big grant to figure this stuff out.
