cjohns - If you blanch (e.g., brief boil) or steam fresh vegetables you will soften them and maintain the healthy benefits. Although processed vegetables that have preservatives or other additives may or may not harm the fish, the benefits have been reduced. If you can incorporate this effort into your personal meal preparation then even better. I try to use water that is already hot from vegetable preparation for family meals to blanch the vegetables for my fish. These may be the same type of vegetables we are having for dinner or they may be other types of vegetables, however using blanched or steamed for a shorter length of time. Having an agreeable spouse or companion also helps!

Funny, I put canned peas in my body, but would not feed them to fish. I think you are alright with frozen though.

Thanks guys and your right skipjack it's pretty bad when you will eat something but not feed it to your fish. ...bahahaha
