Here is the poster for this year's event.

Martin... read post #36 for camping info regarding the BioBlitz which occurs the 2 days before the Darter Festival.  Several of us are talking about attending all 3 days, camping and participating.  Plans will be firmed up early April.  I will update this posting early April, no fooling.

Tell Chuck Yeager I am interested.  Schedule permitting of course - which is always in question.  But yeah, I would def like to camp and go to the darterfest.

So who is planning to attend?  I have to present names to our host.  We are one month away.  I plan on camping Friday and Saturday.

I plan to attend at least on Saturday, I'm not sure of my schedule for overnight or not. And Kara Million Baker from Indiana University who worked with me at UAH will probably be there too.

I should be able to make it.

Will have to scrounge around for a tent. Or just sleep in my Odyssey. When I do that, I call it a mini-RV.

I have been knocked out for Fri. and Sat. due to a scheduling conflict.  Sunday is maybe yes, maybe no.

Ok. Plans are set.

Anyone else interested in attending the BioBlitz contact me directly.  Our host has asked for an RSPV of our group and plans, which i have provided.  Communications will be by email from now to the event.  Folks cannot simply show up unannounced.

Afterwards we will provide a posting of the event.

Martin contact me via email if you can make Sunday, the Darterfest day or we will simply see you there.

I won't be able to camp, but I should be able to get that saturday or sunday off from work. Saturday I have a meeting in the morning, but then I can drive on down; it's only maybe 90 minutes.

I'm not sure where you guys are planning to camp, but I would advise against Railroad Park. That area is excessively dangerous at night. Bring guns and post guards.

Okay, I have half of Sunday off, so I can show up Sunday morning, say hi, and leave at noon.

This is a Vermilion Darter, it's also a tease.

That's the most demure Vermillion Darter I've ever seen.
