Leaches in my trunks!

This pairing is truly lovely. Thank you, Matt, I really enjoyed all of your submissions.
Thanks, man. Haiku is my favorite poetry. After naughty limericks...

This is great! Never got haiku. Like a witty limerick more. Changing my tune guys.
This was a pretty neat idea Martin!

OK, I'll give y'all the weekend to consume adult beverages, smoke green leafy substances, and compose poetry. Then Monday I'll call for nominations.
Then a forum-wide poll, and THEN I'll wrest the fish appliques from Casper's clinging grasp!

I'm rather fond of this one from Smilingfrog:
A tadpole madtom
Gently cradled in my hand
Arm getting tingly

Thanks, DLV.

Swift, riffly waters
New chases, new fishes, joy
A little boy once more
Swift, riffly waters
Old chases, old fishes, joy
The treasure of age.

As the dipnet swoops,
Fleeing from it, golden streak!
Darts the topminnow.

OK, I'll put up the poll as soon as nominations dry up, work schedule permitting. Actually it looks like we have almost as many nominations as entries! I'll permit my own feeble entry to be included, out of a profound sense of duty But anything by Casper is RIGHT OUT! (The term "Vogon Poetry" comes to mind).
