Whoa Dredcon, nice to see you posting! I was just recently looking at your photos from like 10 years back and wondering what you were up to! Really really cool stuff man!

Made a trip to Cat Island, just a little South of Long Beach Mississippi, a few weeks ago. The main goal of this trip was to test the feasibility of gigging flounder from my buddy's new tandem kayak and maybe drink a few cold beers.
We had a smooth ride out, but the water was not ideal for gigging. Even with the south winds we had been getting our spot was covered with "fertile" Pearl river water. We caught a few speckled trout while we waited for the sun to go down. After dark we set up some lights to see what we could call in.
The usual suspects all showed up. Lots of grass shrimp, bay anchovies, silversides, needlefish, and a few juvenile mullet.
