Nope I think it was just more catfish. This time of year we see big school of hardheads and gafftops in the marsh and around the islands.

A handful of larval crabs, don't know the species.

3 species of anchovies Bay, striped, and dusky.

Beach seine sample with over 4000 anchovies to separate.

Thanks. We are always running into interesting stuff out there and I love sharing it with people that are interested. Most nonfish people just look at me like I'm crazy when I break out the fish pictures. Well I am a little crazy I guess.

Spent the day rambling around honey island swamp off the pearl river today. Dipnetted some small pools on the dried up floodplain. Pretty typical catches including dollar sunfish, warmouth, bluegill, pirate perch, yellow bullhead, and golden topminnow.
